FAQS
Can I bring my luggage on the tour, or do I need to leave it at my hotel?
You do not need to hike with your large travel suitcases! We highly recommend leaving your main luggage at your hotel in Dong Hoi or Phong Nha. If you are changing hotels (e.g., starting in Dong Hoi and finishing in Phong Nha), you can bring your luggage with us—our transfer vehicle will safely store it during the day, and it will be waiting for you at the end of your 2-day adventure.
What are the toilet and shower facilities like at the overnight campsite?
The campsite at the beautiful valley is equipped with a toilet and proper bathroom facilities. This setup offers a fantastic balance for travelers—allowing you to completely immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of the valley while still enjoying the comfort and convenience of a clean, reliable space to wash up, take a shower, and change into fresh clothes after a rewarding day of trekking.
How difficult is the Kieu Cave tour, and what is the terrain like?
The adventure is divided into two parts: a challenging trek followed by a very accessible cave exploration.
The Trek Up (Challenging): Getting to the cave mouth requires a steep, high-intensity 300m hike up the mountain. The trail features rugged karst terrain with a demanding incline that will definitely get your heart pumping and test your leg strength. You will need steady balance and a good level of physical fitness to conquer this mountain ascent.
The Cave Inside (Gentle & Rewarding): Once you step inside Kieu Cave, the difficulty drops away. The cave itself is spacious, relatively easy to navigate, and does not require technical rock climbing or intense crawling.
