We highly recommend wearing flip-flops, water shoes, or sandals instead of sneakers. Since the itinerary includes boarding a river boat and relaxing at Funky Beach, your feet will very likely get wet during the boat trip or if you decide to take a refreshing dip in the river at sunset. Comfortable, water-friendly footwear is the best choice for this journey!

Peak summer afternoons in Central Vietnam can be quite warm, but we are completely flexible and prioritize your comfort. If it's too hot in the afternoon, we will strategically adjust the flow of the journey—such as taking the refreshing boat trip from Phong Nha Funky Beach to Bong Lai first to catch the river breeze, or starting the tour a bit later to avoid the intense mid-day heat. Our pace is always slow and relaxed, with plenty of shaded hydration breaks along the way.

We use classic, comfortable single-gear city bikes equipped with a front basket for your convenience. Since our route through the Bong Lai Valley is an unhurried pace, these single-gear bikes are easy to ride, lightweight, and perfect for soaking in the countryside scenery without worrying about complex gears.
